Senior-Led Therapeutapeutic Intervention for Complex or Multi-System Presentation

Breathe Clinical Intensive Care

Not bookable as a first appointment. Assessment required.

The Breathe Clinical Intensive Care treatment is the highest-level therapeutic service offered at Human Engineering Clinic. It is designed for clients presenting with complex, multi-system, or persistent patterns of physical or nervous-system dysregulation that cannot be safely or effectively addressed within a standard treatment format.

This session integrates extended clinical assessment, advanced manual therapy techniques, nervous-system regulation, and structured therapeutic planning. It is not a longer massage or a spa style treatment. Instead, it is a clinical intervention requiring senior-level decision-making, comprehensive evaluation, and enhanced professional responsibility.

What The Breathe Clinical Intensive Care Includes

Post-Session Clinical Guidance

Aftercare is provided to support safety, recovery, and the effectiveness of the session.

  1. Self management strategies
  2. Positioning recommendations
  3. Lymphatic or muscular support techniques
  4. Load and activity considerations
  5. Aftercare advice within manual therapy scope

Lymphatic & System Support (“Clinical Detoxification”)

This section supports natural physiological processes through improved fluid movement and circulation. It is not medical detoxification, toxin removal, fat-loss treatment, or aesthetic contouring.

  1. Support for healthy lymphatic flow
  2. Mobilisation of retained interstitial fluid
  3. Temporary reduction in bloating or fluid congestion
  4. Enhanced superficial circulation
  5. Support for the body’s natural waste transport pathways
  6. A lighter, more refined body feel due to fluid movement
  7. Temporary improved outline from reduced water retention

Important: This treatment does not detox organs, extract toxins, create fat loss, or produce aesthetic contouring results.

Multi Modal Manual Therapy Integration

A tailored combination of advanced manual therapy techniques may be applied according to clinical need. Technique selection is determined solely by the senior clinician and not chosen by client request.

  1. Advanced soft tissue therapy
  2. Myofascial and fascial release
  3. Trigger point techniques
  4. Lymphatic drainage techniques (MLD-informed where suitable)
  5. Nervous system regulation techniques
  6. Pregnancy adapted modifications (if clinically appropriate)
  7. Oncology adapted modifications (if clinically safe)
  8. Breath led manual bodywork (physiological, non-spiritual)
  9. Supportive touch for complex stress responses

Extended Clinical Assessment

A detailed senior-level assessment is carried out at the beginning of the session to ensure treatment is safe, appropriate, and clinically effective.

  1. Medical and treatment history review
  2. Musculoskeletal screening (within massage scope)
  3. Lymphatic pathway screening
  4. Postural and functional assessment
  5. Nervous system presentation review
  6. Identification of primary clinical priorities

Nervous System & Autonomic Regulation

This component supports individuals experiencing chronic stress states, burnout, or autonomic imbalance.

  1. Reduction of overload responses
  2. Release of persistent tension patterns
  3. Reduction of stress-induced muscular holding
  4. Support for dysregulated sympathetic activity

All techniques remain within manual therapy scope and do not constitute psychological therapy.

Integrated Treatment Planning

A structured clinical plan is provided following hands-on treatment to support continued progress.

  1. Identification of contributing physical patterns
  2. Short term therapeutic direction
  3. Recommendations for treatment frequency
  4. Contraindication and safety considerations
  5. Referral guidance where clinically appropriate
